About the event
the 5th ASEF Higher Education Innovation Laboratory (ASEFInnoLab5) Onsite Event will be held on 21-25 October 2024 in Shanghai, China.
With the support of the ASEM Education Secretariat (AES) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Asia-Europe Foundation and Fudan University are organising this five-day event to be attended by 50 academics, higher education administrators, experts, and policymakers. They will engage in dialogue in ASEFInnoLab5’s three subthemes: AI Governance, AI for Sustainable Development, and AI in Education, guided by the project’s overarching theme, “Universities’ Role in AI Innovation Ecosystems”.
The main output of the onsite event are high-level whitepapers on the three subthemes. To this end, the key elements of the programme—the keynote presentations, panel discussions, and workshops—are designed to contribute to the content of the whitepapers.
